Fernandina Beach Tree Lighting Celebration

A full day of entertainment leads up to the official City of Fernandina Beach Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony at the foot of Centre Street. Beginning at 12:00 noon on November 28, carolers, choirs, dancers and singers will entertain visitors throughout the afternoon with the sights and sounds of the Christmas holiday season. Gather up the family and enjoy a magical day with your friends in the community.
Santa and Mrs. Claus will arrive at 2:00 PM at the Fernandina Harbor Marina aboard the Ye Olde Pirate charter boat and all are invited to welcome him to town! Santa and Mrs. Claus will make their way over to the Train Depot at the foot of Centre Street to meet and take pictures with the kids of the community until 5:00pm. Photos with pets will also be available. Entertainment and activities are hosted by the City of Fernandina Beach, Historic Fernandina Business Association and Shiny Badges Ball, Inc.
On November 29 and 30, downtown Fernandina Beach will be transformed into a winter wonderland for the Annual Fernandina Beach Tree Lighting Celebration. From 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Friday, November 29, and Saturday, November 30, come down and enjoy ice skating on a 40-foot by 50-foot outdoor skating rink provided by the Nassau Alcohol, Crime and Drug Abatement Coalition (NACDAC). The rink will be located in Parking Lot A. Cost to skate is $5 per person and skates are provided.
From 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. November 30, you can also get a family picture taken inside a 15-foot tall snow globe, enjoy musical performances, shop from vendors, take your picture with Santa and more! The tree lighting is scheduled for approximately 6:30 p.m.
