Water Intrusion Shuts Down Amelia Island Bank
A hot water heater tank located in a second floor office burst causing major damage to the bank below. The water heater had been installed on a shelf. The shelf broke, coincidentally at the same time the island had been evacuated due to Hurricane Matthew, and water drained out and ran down for a couple of days before the problem was discovered. SERVPRO arrived on the scene within no time after the problem was reports. The incident affected three businesses, and SERVPRO of Fernandina Beach/Yulee/North Jacksonville was able to assist all three in restoring their businesses back to normal.
