Mold in North Jacksonville Home

This North Jacksonville home suffered a water damage from improperly installed toilet after new tile was laid in their Master Bathroom. The toilet was not sealed correctly to the sewage line and had continued to leak from more than six months. The homeowner had discovered the tile grout had been discolored around the toilet and could not get it clean. They contacted their local plumber and discovered the issue. All was thought to be fine. Everything went great until he entered the crawlspace. Fiberglass insulation was laying on the ground and mold was discovered on the subflooring and floor joists. This mold growth was due to the toilet leak from six months prior. Mold remediation was performed in the crawlspace and new insulation installed. The home inspector revisited the crawlspace and signed off on the cleaning and repairs. The closing on the home went as scheduled.
